Kenny left school with no formal qualifications and joined the Royal Air Force at a young age. With no academic pathway laid out in front of him, he learned early that progress would come through effort, discipline, and personal accountability. His time in the RAF became the foundation for everything that followed, particularly through his involvement with Mountain Rescue. Over several years, he operated in demanding and often hostile environments, responding to serious and time-critical incidents where teamwork, judgement, and calm decision making were essential. Those experiences shaped his approach to leadership, risk, and responsibility, and instilled a strong belief that competence is earned through practice, not status.

Following his military service, Kenny joined the Scottish Ambulance Service, beginning what would become a long and varied career in frontline emergency care. As a Paramedic, he has worked across a wide range of operational settings, managing critically unwell patients, complex trauma, and high-pressure situations on a daily basis. His operational credibility led to selection for the Special Operations Response Team (SORT), where he supported specialist and high-risk deployments requiring advanced clinical skills, operational discipline, and the ability to work seamlessly within multi-agency teams. This role further developed his understanding of major incident response, hazardous environments, and the importance of structured decision making when normal systems are stretched.

Alongside his NHS career, Kenny founded MK Safety Solutions in 2013 with a clear purpose: to deliver medical and safety training that reflects the reality of operational work. As Director and Lead Medical Instructor, he has designed and delivered training for a broad range of clients, including emergency services, security professionals, and private sector organisations. His teaching style is practical, direct, and grounded in real experience, focusing on what actually works under pressure rather than what looks good in a classroom. MK Safety Solutions has grown into a respected provider of medical, first aid, and specialist training, underpinned by high standards and professional integrity.

Despite leaving school without qualifications, Kenny later returned to education to strengthen his professional practice. He holds a degree in Paramedic Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Human Resource Management. This combination of clinical expertise and business understanding allows him to operate effectively across frontline care, education, leadership, and organisational development. He continues to work within the NHS while leading MK Safety Solutions, balancing operational practice with training delivery, mentorship, and consultancy.

Kenny’s career has been shaped by lived experience rather than a traditional route. From military service and mountain rescue to specialist ambulance operations and training leadership, his journey reflects a belief that credibility comes from doing the job properly, learning continuously, and holding yourself to high standards. That philosophy runs through every course he delivers and every organisation he supports.
