The emphasis throughout the course is on helping learners understand what they may actually need to do within their workplace rather than simply memorising information.

Reading about a fire extinguisher and actually using one are very different experiences.

Our training gives learners the opportunity to understand the different types of extinguisher, what they are designed to be used on and the limitations of attempting to fight a fire.

Where conditions and the training environment permit, learners can take part in supervised practical fire extinguisher training using controlled live fire.

This gives learners experience of handling an extinguisher and understanding how it operates before they are ever faced with a workplace emergency.

Safety remains the priority. Fire Marshals should never place themselves or others at unnecessary risk by attempting to fight a fire.

The course introduces learners to common fire extinguishing equipment and helps them understand why using the wrong extinguisher can create additional danger.
