After several years in the military, Will joined one of the most successful ambulance trusts in the world. He was employed in one of the Ambulance Control Centres before moving onto operational Accident & Emergency Duties as an Emergency Medical Technician. Will then progressed onto becoming a Paramedic at a busy urban ambulance station. Will has spent years developing his clinical skills on a Paramedic Response Car. Will applied and passed selection allowing him to join the Air Ambulance Service as an Aircrew Paramedic. After honing and developing his skills as both a Paramedic and a Mentor Will was selected to be part of the Education Team for the Ambulance Trust.
Will has been in an education role since 2014. Beginning as a Practice Placement Educator, assessing and supporting students in clinical practice while responding to routine and 999 emergency calls. Developing their skills and knowledge to qualify as either a Emergency Medical Technician or a Paramedic.
Will moved to the University as a Practice Educator, supporting Associate Lecturers in the delivery and assessment of university educational medical programmes at a undergraduate level. In his current role, Will delivers a variety of educational programmes which include; Vocational Qualification Diploma for Associate Ambulance Practitioners, Annual Learning in Practice Training courses to qualified Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics, Emergency Response Ambulance Driving Instructor.
