Description:

This course will provide practical skills and knowledge in the use of compressed air breathing apparatus and the requirements for working in vessels, confined spaces and industrial settings. On successful completion of this course, the delegates will have a greater understanding of breathing apparatus control, safe wearing of breathing apparatus, emergency arrangements, testing cleaning and general maintenance of associated equipment including record keeping. This allows those with a current confined space (medium risk) certificate to work in high risk spaces (irrespirable).

To develop new practical skills and knowledge in the use of compressed air breathing apparatus and the requirements for working in vessels, confined spaces and industrial settings.

On successful completion of this course, the delegates will have a greater understanding of breathing apparatus control, safe wearing of breathing apparatus, emergency arrangements, testing cleaning and general maintenance of associated equipment including record keeping.

A minimum of 6 contact hours in the classroom.
